Honor Flight South Dakota concludes operation.
Several activities will be held across the state on Monday September 12th to mark the conclusion of the Honor Flight South Dakota project.
Events will include several Community Open houses and receptions to honor Veterans and at 7:00pm Central time, KELO-Land Television will broadcast a one hour special program about the Honor Flights from South Dakota. In conjunction with the program, there will be several Open House events around the state.
All WWII veterans, including Honor Flight participants, and friends and family are invited to attend an Open House event in your area to watch the KELO program or we hope you’ll enjoy the program from home.
Open House events will be held September 12th in Sioux Falls at the Sanford Research Center on North 60th Street at the Benson Road exit of I-229 starting at 5:30pm. And in Rapid City at the T.R.E.A Veterans Building at 1981 East Center Street starting at 5:00pm.
Also, several Veterans Organization Clubs around the state are planning open houses so we encourage you to check with your local American Legion or VFW Club.
